Bag Handle Options

Primary Packaging Inc. offers 2 types of handle options for your bags.

C-Cut Handle

Design: A C-cut handle is a single, curved die-cut opening, usually at the top center of the bag, that leaves a flap of material in place, resembling the letter “C”.

Usage & Applications: Commonly used in retail, clothing, and promotional bags where a sleek, integrated handle is desired. The design is ergonomic and distributes weight evenly, making it comfortable for carrying heavier items.

Production Method: Produced by die-cutting a C-shaped opening into a pre-formed polyethylene bag, often with reinforced edges for added strength. The process involves film blowing/extrusion, then precision die-cutting.

2-Hole Cut Handle

Design: Features two separate, usually round or oval, die-cut holes near the top of the bag-one for each hand. This style is less common than the C-cut.

Usage & Applications: Often used for lighter loads or where a different carrying style is preferred. They may be chosen for aesthetic reasons or for bags that are not intended to carry significant weight.

Production Method: Similar to the C-cut, but two holes are die-cut instead of one. Reinforcement is less common, so these are usually used for lighter applications.
