About The Role

A Packager is responsible for safely operating and adjusting packaging machinery while keeping a close eye on product quality, from print and bag size to seal integrity.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor the quality of the entire bag, from print to bag size and seal quality
  • Perform and record required testing for bag seals
  • Read and understand the work order and packaging instructions
  • Accurately record all setup, downtime, and run time in Radius
  • Accurately record all good production and scrap under the correct code in Radius
  • Keep equipment and the surrounding work area clean
  • Report any mechanical issues encountered during the shift
  • Maintain good attendance
  • Take on other tasks or projects as required by manager

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Required: Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Prior manufacturing experience
  • Preferred: Mechanically inclined
  • Quality-conscious and production-oriented
  • Able to work unsupervised with strong attention to detail
  • Works well with others

Work Environment

  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for 12-hour shifts on a 2/2/3 schedule
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to typical plant conditions (temperature changes, noise, and machinery)
